simpsons was funny but family is way funnier. because when i watch family guy im laughing every second. simpsons doesnt make me laugh as often as family guy. plus family guy puts current events and such into the show which makes it more funny when it makes fun of whats happening in the world. simpsons just makes fun of an average persons life. kinda gets boring

Simpsons kicks family guy's *ss! Family Guy is just a copycat rip-off of the Jaundinced-skinned family. Simpsons is a lot more wittier, charming and the characters lovable (except probably for Bart, but he has some redeeming qualities). Family Guy's characters are just plain mean-spirited, the dad is actually smart but is just lazy, the mum is clueless, the sister keeps getting into trouble, the brother has no personality, the dog talks (which makes it a freak), and Stewie keeps trying to kill his mum (how could they show that on television?). I hate the Family Guy's characters, and their politically-incorrect jeering of everything, it's just plain stupid. Simpsons, although sometimes risque, is a lot more charming and heartwarming.

Both of these were pretty darn funny when they came out, and to be honest they have both lost a little bit of that comedic luster. But when it comes down to it, the simpsons is the funnier and better show. Family Guy just got real stale, real fast. It just seems like the episodes and the jokes are recycled.

Simpsons is funnier. The Simpsons has been on the air for soo long. For a television show to last the long it MUST be extremely funny!

The Simpsons by far. I just can't get into The Family Guy cause I just don't think it's as funny.

Family Guy - I have a crude sense of humor and I like a lot of the references in the show. IMHO, Futurama is better than The Simpsons. Even when The Simpsons first came out, I was never interested in it.

Overall, Simpsons. But early Family Guy was a riot when stewie was always really trying to kill lois.
