Tks to Dianne B for the latest answer. You have mentioned de-alcoholising the paper clay before painting on it. What is the purpose of that what kind of alcohol to use? Tks.

What I said was that for polymer clay (and some other clays but probably not paperclay since it's porous), it's usually a good idea to de-grease the surface using alcohol (just the normal kind you'd buy at the local store for putting on cuts, etc...think that's the 70%, but not sure).

The purpose of doing that is to remove as much "oil" from one's fingers, etc., or dirt, etc., that may have gotten onto the surface of the clay, so that the paint will stick to the surface better.
