Please help??womens health question!!!?
i have been on nuva ring since jan....
when i took it out in feb my period started within hours.
anyway i took it out late sat night and i still have not had my period.
i have had a really bad migraine (which i had with my 1st child) and NOTHING helped. pretty much the dame thing this time with the exception of a dull aching/
i have had an increase of discharge which is clear. a gassy/bloated feeling and a pain in my lower left abdomen

took a test this afternoon and it was negative.
does anybody have ny ideas? is this something that happens?
please help if you can, id appreciate it.thanks!

i called my ob, told them what was going on and how i took it out last month andd my period started right away
they told me to wait till the am and take another test.
they also said it didnt make sense as to why before the hormones were working and now theyre not

You're going to hate hearing this, but it takes some women 6 months to a year to adjust to some formulations of hormonal birth control. Your test was negative, and you're taking another one. That positive test is the only confirmation you're going to get. "Symptoms" are NOT reliable. (Frankly I'm shocked at how many people don't know that.)

The migraine can definitely be chalked up to the birth control. That's one thing hormonal birth control is notorious for -- triggering or intensifying migraines.

you could wait and see like your ob told you and test a little later next week or talk to the doc and see if its possible side effects of the ring.... if the effects you have arent and you keep gettin negative tests go in for blood work. If you havent i would stop the ring until you know for sure and i hope all goes well!

Not very familiar with this type of birth control. Have heard about it and that is about it. However, the bloated feeling and pain sounds like some type of infection to me. Possibly kidney, bladder, or urinary tract. If I were you I would ask my doctor if I could come in for a visit. Good luck..

Do you ever feel this way before you get your period? How far past due are you for your period. I would follow your ob's suggestion and take another test in the morning. I hope everything turns out the way you want.

I'd wait about a week and then test again. it sounds like all the normal symptoms to me. I hope you get good news!
