k.don't panic.u came to the RIGHT person(i'm an expert at this!)!!!!!!!
1.paint the ceiling and walls as light of a color as possible(white is the BEST!)
2.keep furniture away from the entrance of the door
3.keep things lining the wall so you have a big space in the middle.
4.keep bright lights!mirrors ALWAYZ work! also try many windows!

Push your furniture an inch or two away from the walls. Most people think it makes the room look bigger because there's more floor room but it really just makes things look stuck to the walls. You could also try getting small accessories, like small lamps or fabrics with small patterns or stripes, and avoid using huge furniture, like a great big desk or vanity.

What is also a big help is elimination "clutter" like huge posters on the walls. Simplicity is best.

To Make a room look bigger, mirrors always work. Try to use contianers that can be hidden or put away. And put things on an angle, like the computer, television, etc....

what works really well for me is being minimalistic and being organized. store things in containers where ever you can to save space.. so keep things clean and uncluttered. good luck and you may have better luck posting this in the home and garden section.
