I hate it when people are like, "Oh, she's so goth." or, "Ohh, look at the emo freak."
I hate it, I mean, I am a regular person who apparently has different interests. I could be the nicest one you have met, but you choose to judge me, you know?
No mean comments, please, no mean comments.

I think the reason some people are like that is because some people get the impression that goths arent very nice people. And i think there is a stereotype that all Goths "hate everyone who is not like them" or something like that, so maybe thats why some people behave that way...lol i dunno, hope i helped.

Stereotypes are overrated. They're often put where they don't belong, especially considering the AUTHENTIC Goth, Emo, and Punk scenes have been dead since the 80's. Most of the current ones are Hot Topic drones.
Besides, Gothic is a state of mind for example. Your type of music, or the clothes you wear has nothing to do with who you are, yet people insist on stereotyping you as a form of judgement. Which, it seems, is all the human race can do. And about 90% of the time they put the WRONG stereotype on the wrong person.

Isn't it lame how you have to actually ask people to not write mean comments? People are jerks, which leads me to the answer for your question, people are jerks. I think that some beings on this planet of ours live to judge others and make them miserable. It's sad, but true. Just ignore them. Good luck!!

hi sweetie. i love people who aren't afraid to be a little different. it's all about being our true selves and being happy and comfortable. i'm sure you are a very emotionally strong and wonderful. i honestly don't know much about this "emo" trend. i've heard it mentioned a few times on here. but yah, i get judged too. i am a very shy soft sensitive guy, and i consider myself transgendered and want to be a woman, so yah, i get lots of people trying to judge me.. it's certainly a challenge..
anyway, if you want a new friend, please feel free to e-mail me and i will write you back.
take care and never stop believing in yourself!

We all judge. We all label.
You project an image that attracts attention, obviously.
If you don't like the kind of attention you're getting, then change your image.
You're going to be labelled no matter what you wear or what look like.

agreed, but stereotypes are everywhere, so all you should do is adapt to it and not let it affect you.
