Can someone tell me the best way to remove oil based paint from ceramic tiles. I have moved into a place which was painted a couple of years ago and an edger was not used so there is paint splater all over the tiles.

I would not apply any solvent to this paint as that will dissolve it and cause it to run into the grout.

I would take a flat razor blade and remove it best as I could, then Id use a regular Paint Remove which is the non toxic kind and does not use methylene chloride or any organic solvent in it. Apply that sparingly with a small artists brush.

This type of paint remover will, in about an hour, cause the oil base paint to rise up and then it can easily be removed with a tooth brush .

acitone...but use rubber gloves when doing so and just pour it on and dont get any on any thing else paited cause it will take it off and just rub it off with a dry towel and u can also go to lowes and get some not so dangerous chemical but that is the best
