The idea of the storm is dumb enough but when the father is going to walk into the nastiest storm of all time when helicopters are freezing in mid-air, that is straight up stupid. And even if the father does make it to New York City what is he going to do, make the storm go away? Let's not forget about the wolves. I guess they are the only thing that can survive the unbareable conditions. However I did think it was quite funny when all the Americans werejumping the Mexucan border.

I think of it as pure entertainment. Is global warming a serious issue? I would say so. Do I think the world is going to freeze over in the near future? Not really. But I liked the movie. It was interesting and exciting. Entertaining. Think of it that way, and it's much more enjoyable.

The Day After Tommorow is a science-fiction film that depicts catastrophic effects of global warming and boasts high-end special effects, bending the lines between science, reality and science fiction.
I personally loved the movie. Former Vice President Al Gore is teaching the same kind of thing about global warming.

i thought some parts were good, as unrealistic as they may have been, and other parts were not so good. I wouldn't go as far as "the dumbest movie ever," though. have we forgotten about Napoleon Dynamite? Not to mention the films that are so bad they're not even mention-worthy.

PS. Dear Napoleonites - the movie was good the first time i saw it, i'll give you that. but, only the first, unpredictable, time. every other time just made me vomit a little.

like alot of movies it is kinda dumb, but there is something
about it, like maybe the whole ice age idea
is not far away in real life.

As a disaster flick it's all right, but the propaganda level is impossible to ignore, and on that level I hated it.
