I know alot of Naruto fans who watch the english dubbed version on television. But before i say anything, im a huge naruto fan and i have nothing against naruto. BUT THE ENGLISH VERSION ON TV IS TRASH! They changed the names of all the moves, they changed the way you pronounce things, they cut out the most funniest parts because thier too 'in appropriate' or 'violent' such as kissing or head beign chopped off. The voices even sound fake too! I beg of you all, PLEASE go on youtube and watch the JAPANESE SUBBED episodes! Or download them! The voices are better, the moves sound cooler 'KAGE MANE NO JUTSU! Kage bushin no jutsu! Kuchiyose no jutsu!' they even are written cooler! The guys actually sound like guys too! Its alot funnier, and plus, you dont have to wait for new eps! You know how far the english version is behind? People on tv are around eps... 80. In japanese, they've already gone to the next season when all teh characters are 3 years older! Eps 225+!
Trust me, watch it!

In addition to that:

Before bragging to your friends at school or whatever of how great an anime Naruto is, WATCH THE JAPANESE VERSION SO YOU CAN REALLY SHOW OFF SOME GOOD STUFF!!!! Even me and my friends at school who watch the japanese subbed version of Naruto are embarrassed when we hear people pronouncing the names soooo lamely... Like actually saying 'Sah-Soo-Kay' instead of 'Sas-kay' And we laugh at them when they say things like 'Oh, im sure the third hokage will kill orochimaru!' (when obviously he dies and then Tsunade takes his place, yada yada) So please dont embarass true naruto fans!

The Japanese do a better job in voicing actoring than the Amercian. They actually get into full character and expresses the character's emotion to the fullest. And for why they sound like girls, well, it's because they are voiced by WOMEN!!! Because the fact that women have the innocent to portray young boys (most main characters have not reach puberty), they are chosen over male seiyuu (Japanese voice actors). I feel that if your watching an American dub, your just watching a plain old TV show, whereas you watch it in it's original language, this case Japanese, I feel like it's not just a show. You can actually be in the show itself.

Another thing, it's pronouced "Sa-su-ke (kay)" not "Sas-kay." In Japanese, you pronouce every syllable as it is.

dude you are sooooo frickin right!!! but listen here.....i have a friend who can read and understand a good fraction of the japanese language, yet he doesnt bother with subbed anime (you know, in case theres some phrase he wouldnt understand), the problem is....he doesnt want to watch em on you tube or download them, he wants to buy the original DVD's when he gets to Japan for his study abroad program.....how stupid is that? ive told him that if he buys em there they wont be subbed, plus there are subbed episodes you can download that arent even in DVD season box sets yet.....this dude is dumb, dumb,DUMB!!!

sigh.............another sub vs dub war beginneth. hide the women and children.

anyways, renaming the techniques, pronunciation, and editing are apart of the dubbing process. and vary due to the company.
With that said i watch the sub and dub, just to laugh at the edited scenes.
