i think it's because he did his job and got more wins, now they want to boost his morale and that of the teams to have them make a playoff push.

If Dolan is going to give him the extension, then what difference does it make if he does it now or at the end of the season...The Knicks have shown vast improvement last year, and are still moving in the right direction. Lee, Crawford and Q being hurt and they would be in the playoffs if they started today, says you have to bring Isiah back, if not, then who?
