Ive looked into LEAPYear (too expensive), Coast Guard (too long), Peace Corps (too not for me), and this time for god program which doesnt really seem like me either. Im looking for a program that would give me college credit or a salary of some kind, and preferably something far, far away from cincinnati Ohio (out of the country would be best)

Look at www.bunac.org. This site offers information on how you can work abroad. Also, if you type in "work for travel" on a search engine, it will give you a whole list of organizations that can help.

Word of warning, though -- once you leave college, it is very hard to go back. Does your school offer any study abroad programs? That way, you could stay in school but still get far, far away from Cincinnati, Ohio.

The Peace Corps wouldn't take you without a degree, unless you have 10 years of experience in something a host country wanted to learn, like small engine repair or bee keeping.

You might look into Americorps. Your church's national denomination may have some sort of volunteer program - you'd get a modest living allowance while you did something useful.

You are not the only young person with "itchy feet" who is bored in college, so the competition for the fun jobs - airline steward / stewaress, for instance, or deck hand on a private yacht - is stiff.

its not out of the country but the Walt Disney College Program is an amazing experience and you can most likely get college credit for it. The program lasts 7 months so you would have to take at least a semester off..but you may end up extending your program. Look into it!

I agree with the person above me. Your college (if accredited) probably has some programs during the summer. You should look into them right away. Sometimes there are deadlines or they get filled quick.

My school has programs in china, south America and who knows where else. They may last a couple of months or a few weeks. Since they are part of the school curriculum, you are able to pay as tuition (however your paying for school)

You can always teach English abroad. There are volunteer programs, as well as programs that pay. Just choose a country and chances are you'll be able to find a job.
