It's been my experience with Yahoo! Answers that more questions go to voting than not. What's your take on this?

It is sort of annoying. I have tons of questions where I am the only correct answer (or the only answer) and the person read my response but "forgot" to choose me as best answer. I mean, I took the time to go and type a nice response, the least they can do is click Choose as Best Answer.

I know, I am not trying to sound like I'm only doing this for the points but it is nice to feel appreciated for your input.

Voting would be ok if the voters actually read the answers. I think that most often the first answer is chosen because the voters just want an easy way to get a single point (1 point per vote) when they're close to the next level.

I usually choose a best answer for my questions, and wish that others did as well.

Voting would seem to give a more acurite response, but not enough people vote (I'm guilty too). I try to pick my own best answers most of the time. I wonder how Uncle Billy is doing with the question process.

I think if people are not going to pick a best answer then they should not be allowed to post a question again. You are right it goes to voting most of the time.

It is mildly annoying. It supports my theory that many of the questions asked are just so the person can appear on the Internet. They could really care less about the topic.

I would rather hear from the ask-er, but by voting, it gives the lower levels a chance to make extra points.... It's okay either way......

Rude and inconsiderate. . .

I do not ask many questions, but when I do, I will pick the best answers, usually in a day or two. . .
