No. I won't. They cannot make me. I will refuse it. What will they do? Throw me in jail? Expatriate me? I don't think so.

A national id card heavily isn't issued in 2008! you haven't any longer any concept what the real id is. the real id act purely instruments regulations, regulating how the states difficulty id enjoying cards. some regulations incorporate: secure practices beneficial factors - all state issued id enjoying cards might desire to incorporate holograms and "tamper evidence" fabric. A social secure practices kind or passport is had to coach citizenship. as properly a centralized database containing in straight forward terms the counsel on your license would be created. No get entry to to something will obtain. And no, your license won't expire in 2008.

National ID Cards is not to be imposed because there are many IDs that the government already require from the people just the driver's license, SS cards and voter's ID. An additional ID is already burdensome and costly for a citizen.

If that will protect us from identity theft and get us some decent health care guarantees, it seems ok. However, if it is only another part of the "Patriot" erosions of American liberties, then we'd better get busy protesting. I need more information.

Actually, you are mis-stating the requirements. People are not required to accept or carry federally issued ID cards.

Rather, any ID cards issued by the states must meet certain requirements, and federal agencies are only allowed to accept as valid any ID that meets those requirements.

I'm cool with it. The only thing I will never support is implanting chips. I can leave the card behind and just disappear.
