Oh gosh, I'm 13 1/2 weeks and I already have a couple. Some women get them in the first trimester, and others don't get them until the last month. About 10% of women (according to What to Expect When You're Expecting) don't get stretch marks at all. My mom didn't with either or her babies, and she gained 40 pounds with me (starting at 120). Hope you get to be so lucky!

I didnt get mine until the last month, then it got really bad. Genetics plays a big role in whether you get them or not. You can usually look at your mom and if she has them, then more than likely you will get them and no amount of coco butter in the world will help. I tried. Now Im pregnant with my 4th and have learned to live with the stretch marks. If you get any, they will always be there, but will eventually fade.

As long as you don't see them, you should be happy. You should be starting to see them, but if they begin to occur, you can lower the effect with good products and a carrier oil, mixed with some drops of essential oil, you can use citrus aurantium neroli for this, massage it over your stomach lightly in a clockwise motion and do it twice a day.
You can get and use products that handle stretch marks and scars as well, together with products that contains calendula.

no there is not a certain time that you begin to get them. you get them once you belly begins to stretch. it does not mean that you will get any. you may not even get any stretch marks. if you do just get you some cocoa butter for stretch marks. my sister used it and it worked really well. i was small myself when i got pregnant. i dint gain any weight and i didnt and still dont have any strech marks and i am 29, my duaghter 7.

I'm the same age i weighed 136 and now am 171, and i didnt get them on my stomach till just a few weeks ago(i'm 38weeks) but i did get them, but didnt notice untill recently, on my thighs, butt, and lower section of my boobs. The ones on my tummy are barely there, but the others----ack pretty bad! I have found that using a self tanning lotion untill im able to tan again has blended them pretty well though. and drink lots and lots of water it hydrates your skin!

The best advice I got was when your skin itches (probably will toward the end), Don't scratch it! Stretch marks are internal, so you really can't prevent them. But if you scratch on the outside, you will get marks. In the meantime, moisturize, moisturize, moisturize.

Pregnancy doesn't always come with stretch marks...some feel lucky if they don't have them. I don't mind mine...I am very proud of them in fact. They are my badges of honor.

I got none until i went into Labour, then as it bub went down, I got a few on my lower tummy, you can hardly see them now, 15months on. A friend got none until week 38, then she got a few big ones on her lower tummy. You may get none!
