Socialism

Anyone that makes under 1 million a year that says capitalism has no clue about the history and real meaning of it...

i live in the United States, so i've only been use to capitalism, but I know that I will never be rich, so I believe distributing wealth and goods evenly, as long as people do work. Like the homeless do not deserve income because they dont work. But if they got off their butts and worked at a Mcdonalds, or Walmart, or bagged groceries or ran a business they should be paid the same as Bill Gates. If a person like Bill Gates wants to produce remarkable software, he can, as long as he asks permission from the all the United States citizen. Money will be loaned to Bil Gates from the People's Fund. If he strikes big, he pays off his loan, and the remaining profits go into the peoples fund for further loaning out.If you ask yourself what id the reward, well the reward is that everbody gets to use good software now, and we all thank Bill Gates for being a good citizen. See that is the problem with capitalism, people get rewarded through money. Money is nothing. Wealth is what people want, wealth is what people get to use. Bill Gates created wealth for the general public. Basically, socialism, reverts to the reward or "payoff" as for the general public. Not the individual. So instead of dalternative fuelriving a cool lamborigini, instead you walk around and say I created software that everybody uses. I did a good deed. And if people get bored that there not driving a lamborgini, too bad. Lamborgini's are stupid. All you need is a regular car. A car that drives on alternative fuels. Cheaper for the public. Someone can brag that they created something for the public

Capitalism

Can you be sure they are not one and the same?

It seems that our government is increasingly beholden to business interests, which makes our capitalism very suspect.

Also, China is combining capitalism and socialism directly, by having the state own 50% 'joint ventures' with all foreign investors.

Where can you point out a real example of either to make a comparison?

capitalism because too many people are inherently lazy and will bilk a socialist system...from the top down. We've seen this on a large scale repeatedly. Socialist systems only seem to work on a small scale with a tight knit group and a truly benevolent and selfless leader. Apparently this is too much to ask for in any large society.

If run properly, a Capitalistic Socialism. It is possible.

The government would need to be a merritocracy, designed off of the corporate structure, so as to allow for the shareholders (the citizens) a voice, while also giving the governance the nod of a Board of Directors, and the sort.

Capitalism is the best system because the people are free to choose what to operate as a business and gain income without much government intervention.

Let's answer your question with a hypothetical question, since yours is very broad reaching.
Suppose you picked fruit from trees and sold it to passerby. Suppose after a hard day, one day, you went out to sell it and someone came up to you and asked for some fruit, since you were neighbors and he assumed you wanted to be "social" with him. Suppose he did this every day and every day you went and picked fruit for him and his family, while he did nothing.

Mmmmmm...pretty soon, you would get a little pissed off that he wasn't picking his own fruit and instead, keep asking you to work for him.

Now you know..

capitalism obviously. People complain and whine about the government on a 24/7 basis, yet they are wanting to turn even more power and money over to them. Illogical.
