nokia usb cable?

i pluged in my nokia usb cable to my phone...but it doesnt detect..why is that....

When you plug it in, a screen should pop up giving you like 3 options:
Nokia Mode
Music Sync Mode
and Data Transfer Mode, select the Nokia Mode and it will detect it. Good luck!
