Real life experience is the only way to become street smart.
That knowledge doesn't really come from books or TV.

Live on the streets. Street smarts are essentially the kind of knowledge you pick up from bad experiences. Every time something bad happens to you, you know not to let it happen again and you become a little bit street smarter.

Street smart is when you live life and exsperience the hardship, you know how its like and what u can do about it. Like if u was out in the "street" you can solve anything in anysituation by quick thinking, its mainly jus by living life and going thru alot of stuff that its only up to u to handle, u dont "learn" this right away you grow up living it, i grew up in brooklyn and it was poor neighbor hood, so im more street smart then book smart. Book smart is the same as u grew up in school and studied more then played sports or even go out to enjoy life....If u go out now , u jus might know wut im talkign about ...

I guess by getting out more and experiencing things, but if you don't plan on being in the streets a lot there's no point besides protection. Just don't be naive and use common sense and your be fine.

I think if you listen to the rap music and watch MTV and VH1 and BET, then watch a few episodes of Fresh Prince of Bel Aire followed by Growing Pains, then read the book "Catcher in the Rye," you'll be ready to take it to the streets. Then you just need baggy pants, a stocking cap, sunglasses, a posse and some new rims/wheels on your vehicle and you'll be fine. Just don't refer to anyone as "homey" or "bro" and never say "you go girl!"

Honestly baby just love and be yourself..Because what i had to go through to learn how to be street smart wasn't worth it..The streets are hard i know trust me.

i became "street smart" the hard way - i grew up naive - and learned on my own - pretty much that is how people become street smart - no-one has the time to help you otherwise, so you learn on your own.
that's why it's called "street smarts" - you learn on the streets -good luck and please be careful.
