my mom just bought my baby a crib. i am trying to buy a mattress for it but i am unsure of how to measure it. do i go by the measurement of product or the dimensions? i have two different set of numbers. i dont have the crib yet as my mom bought it online.... can anyone help me?

Cribs are a standard size, unless she bought you one of the circle cribs. If it's just a regular crib, you can pick up a mattress anywhere. Walmart carries 3 different types, babies r us has tons, but if you go there for a mattress, be prepared to shell out some money! I would go to Walmart.

They're pretty standard. You can get a crib mattress at Walmart for less than $50.

As stated above, they are pretty well standard size. Just go to Babies R us, Wal Mart, Target, Toy R Us or even K Mart to buy a mattress, just make sure you get a mattress cover that is like a fitted sheet and I would suggest Knit jersey sheets, they are like a t shirt type sheets, they are comfortable.

when you get your crib look on the box it will tell you what size is best to use for that crib.
