Pretty stupid. As far as calling it bad luck, that's a joke also. Its called making choices and she is responsible for her choices, nothing to do with bad luck.
Your poor Mom had no choice in her death and I,m sorry for you and family. It was a needless death and happened because some idiot made the sorry a%* choice to drink and drive. And then some idiot calls it bad luck.
I wonder what they would call it if it was a member of their family that was killed.

I'm so sorry to hear about your mother. This person is more than a jerk. He's a menace, and an ignorant one at that. That's a dangerous combination. Unfortunately, he probably won't learn his lesson until someone is killed, and maybe not even then.

I read about a woman who had to carry around a picture of the man she killed while driving drunk as part of her sentence. She tried to appeal because the picture the family chose was of the man in his casket. The judge didn't budge. I think the sentence was perfect.

militia workers could desire to understand the theory of effects for his or her strikes. these days, no you may say they did no longer understand somebody could desire to be killed or inured because of the fact of somebody driving decrease than the impact - quite the militia, they pound it in to you. So.... He knew he shouldn't drink and force. He knew the outcomes for doing that as a militia officer (that's additionally made properly-known to them dissimilar circumstances). he's the single that positioned his profession at jeopardy, if he replaced into even making plans on making the militia a profession. Many different careers might additionally be at jeopardy for a DUI conviction. Your testimony is merely one ingredient. The courtroom is calling you to talk actual approximately what you witnessed. You spoke to the officer when you consider which you knew what you observed replaced into incorrect and hazardous. Why does the driving force's determination of employment have something to do with this? you probably did the perfect ingredient on the day the incident got here approximately and the courtroom is calling you to do it back. Why experience responsible - you probably did no longer reason the area, you witnessed an extremely risky incident and are being asked to narrate what you observed.

I am very sorry about your mom and what has happened to you and your family. I wish people would learn their lessons. The first time the guy got his DUI he should have learned that he could have caused real damage and it is a sad shame he did not. People also must learn that they have to pay for their decisions and that their decisions effect all of us. I hope he gets the maxium sentence, he was given another chance and blew it now he should pay for his very stupid decision.

I would say totally self absorbed. He only cares about his own enjoyment and doesn't care if he hurts people in the process. So sorry to hear about your mom!!! What a horrible thing to have to deal with!! I think these people who drink and drive should have their license taken away the FIRST time they get pulled over for it, and then they should have jail time and community service on top of that, and in jail, they should only get to watch videos of drunk people who have killed others. I think people would learn better that way. That's just my opinion, but I think it would really work.

Second DUI is recidivism and it is an aggravating circumstance under the law. It is no longer a simple error but a misbehavior and tendency which the law prevents not to happen.

Don't you find it upsetting that laws regarding fire-crackers are enforced more forcibly than DUI laws. There are numerous other examples of a lack of balance. The problem is that too many law makers and law enforcement officials know that they will be caught if the laws are too strict.
