I have trouble drawing manga eyes. The two eyes always look different! I also only know around 5 different kinds of eyes to draw. Any tips for an aspiring manga artist?

first practice front view eyes once you have that down, just shift it to whatever position. you could use two lines as a guide, 1 line will be the top of the eye and the 2nd the bottom. if you need practice in eyes then i'd recomend researching eyes. just keep drawing different eyes no matter how silly so you get a whole bunch of eye ideas. also look at manga and copy their eye shape like naruto. and modify it. so forth.

The hardest thing to do is draw a face straight on and make both eyes look the same.

I conquered that demon by drawing faces at a 3/4 view - the eye closest is always larger, the other always smaller, just the way they're supposed to look.

Or - you can graph it out and even use a circle template to "rough in" the eyes, then do your detail on top.

OK, here's another trick - Draw one eye, trace it onto tracing paper with a soft graphite pencil, flip the tracing over and re-draw the reversed eye onto your original drawing (the first graphite lines will act as carbon paper).
