see what has happened here is what happened to most gangster rap, it has been for the most part misinterpurtated, some people are retarded and try to glorify gangs and the ghettos in gangsta rap and that wasnt wha it originally was supposed to be. gangsta rap was and is supposed to be the story of the gang infested streets, vrs other raps which were mostly about the streets in general. gangsta rap was meant to reach those little kids in the ghetto, who dont know anything else except banging just cause their friends and brothers bang and casue their parents are crack addicts and no one else gives a **** bout them. gangsta rap is supposed to be raw and hold nothing back because hte streets aint pretty on the streets you got REAL people getting killed for what, pay back? your brothers name? you got REAL people slinging rocks on the corner cause they so broke they dont have enough money to feed their family. street culture was made to be what the people on the streets got out of living on the streets, the positive part, what htey used to get them through each day and not crack under the preassure, it was never meant to glorify gangs, killings and drugs and shootings at rap performencaes cause you got bunch of people wit guns and each one saying they running a different color or number... thats asking for somebody to get shot. bob aint saying gangsta rap is positive or the street culture is, its there to let the world know that there are real problems on the streets with real people and to let the people in thoses situations know you can get through them and that they were in thsoe situations before.
