Remote mirrors are usually designated as such because they are adjusted manually with a cable from inside the car. Power mirrors (which are also "remote", since they are operated from inside the vehicle) are equipped with a motor or servo actuator which adjusts them without having to pull on a cable.

generally there both the same but remote is close to dash as your radio,power mirrors is a switch near the window.
