Yes it is probably going to die but there is probably too much ammonia in the tank! With goldfish you need to change 25% of the water pretty often to prevent ammonia poisioning

Yes he is probably going to die. Don't keep goldfish in a bowl. Keep them in a filtered tank with at least 10 gallons per fish.
You might be able to save him. I'd perform a partial water change, assuming you have conditioner to take the chlorine out of the water...

This fish needs at least a 10 gallon tank with cycled, filtered water. Change the water for now to keep it alive.

It is a goldfish, and sorry but the from the way you describe it its already dead. Sorry I cant be more of a help, but i need more info. Take it to a local vet or local pet store they might be able to diagnose it. Is he eating? And you could always just by another one for 28 cents. Hope (s)he lives!

Not every fish from walmart dies.I bought a dwarf puffer fish froma walmart and it has been living for two years now and has now out grown his tank. Most of the problems is shock from water and tank changes.

Yes it's gonna die.
There's a name for the disease but it is not on the tip of my tongue right at this moment.
I would suggest to dump the fish sterilize the tank and buy your fish from anywhere but walmart.
