Did you like the way they changed his character, or would it have been better if they let him be a nerd for--I dunno--a long time, until the season ended?

He stopped after the second installment. Then he wasn't needed as a brainiac in order to be vital to the team. I would have preferred for him to remain a little on the nerdy side, because as you can see they have made it a point to include nerds in each of the new series. The most recent is the pink ranger from Power Rangers Operation Overdrive

i think it was around the time of season 2, when they got the thunder zords. they started with small changes there and then began to gradually phase out the nerd in zeo
