You could try Rogaine.

There are couple of reasons for hair loss. The first reason is DHT. It is a hormone that attacks the hair follicles and cause your hair to fall out in a patter. The other is a poor diet, lack of exercise and stress.

Treatment: If you think that your hair loss is caused by DHT then there are two good options. Rogaine and Propecia. Rogaine is sold over the counter and is applied directly to the scalp. Propecia is a pill that has to be prescribed to you by a doctor. If you also change your diet and exercise it will also help.

For a hair transplant you need to be at least about 40. ( if not you would have to have about 2 in your life time). here is some good information.

I used Rogaine for years, but, it along with the oral medications, can bring on ED after awhile. I just had 2300 grafts transplanted.
You can go to Mexico and get your whole head done in Tijuana for about 3000 dollars.

I had mine done here though, since I did not have time to travel and I don't usually trust foreign doctors to cut me open and pull my skin off.

Really, transplant is the only way to grow it without hassle forever.

LLLT laser light therapy helped me grow my hair back from alopecia. You can go to a clinic, or buy a handheld one, but u have to use it consistently for it to work. The hair grows back like new though :after about 6 months you should notice a difference. Do some research on it too, you can see what options might be available in your area...

Propecia and minoxidil are the only proven medications for men. If you use both medications concurrently, there is a good chance you can stop the loss and maybe reverse it. However, Propecia may interfere with your sexual functioning.
