I had sex a week before my period and had my period that next week. Does that assure that I'm not pregnant or do I have to wait until my next period?

You can have a period and be pregnant. Some women have one all nine months. Chances are you weren't ovulating at that time since most people ovulate about 14 days before their period, so you're probably not pregnant. But different peoples' cycles are different, and even every cycle YOU have can vary. Don't freak out, but wait till next month and if you have any symptoms such as breast tenderness, nausea, or a missed period, then test.

If you had a period, you are not pregnant.

Take a pregnancy test if you're not sure. And use birth control if you don't want to be pregnant.

You can be pregnant and have your period, but it is not likely. If it was light spotting with little menstrual symptoms, I would take a test.

If it was like it usually is with a steady flow and red blood, then you will be alright.

Two easy ways to check for pregnancy:

1) Take a pregnancy test
