A week ago, I was very nauseas in the morning and ended up throwing up around lunch time. Since then, I have been very dizzy whenever I stand up or move quickly, nauseaus often, some abdominal cramping, some breast tenderness and fatigue, some days so bad I didn't think I'd make it through work, and other days I'd just take a 2-3 hour nap in the afternoon). Some days seem to be lacking these symptoms more than others though.
My last period was on Feb. 12 and my period should be due today.
I took a pregnancy test this morning which came out negative. I'm hoping I'm not just making myself feel these things (My husband and I are not trying to conceieve though, so I doubt I am making this all up), so I'm wondering, If I'm not pregnant (and there's not something else wrong) will my period eventually come if I'm not pregnant? Also, does this sound like pregnancy signs to you? What are your experiences in regards to when a hpt showed positive?
Thanks!

Just to clarify, my husband and I did have sex while I was ovulating. And being pregnant wouldn't be a bad thing... just unexpected.

If you can confirm ovulation (though cervical fluid dry up or thermal shift...OPKs do NOT confirm ovulation), you should expect your period w/in 12-16 days from that date. If it doesn't arrive after 18 days or 3 days past your longest luteal phase (time between ovulation and the next period) you are almost certainly pregnant. However, there is a very rare possibility of a corpus luteum cyst which can delay your period even though you aren't pregnant.

If you cannot confirm ovulation, you may have tested too early or could still be waiting to ovulate. I'd recommend waiting a few days and test again if your period doesn't show.

Sounds like it could be pregnancy symptoms, wait a few days and test again...However you can still miss your period even when you're NOT pregnant....due to stress or illness or just being irregular. So if your test comes back negative again you should be able to rest easy.

well i would think your period will come if you are not pregnant unless you have some kind of female medical condition. your period is only due today so i would not start freaking out yet. as far as the hpt, everytime i was pregnant and took one it came out positive. i personally never had a false negative but i hear it happens. i would wait a few days and if you do not get your period then retest.
