Seventeen & Cosmo Girl. They both have everything for the younger teens and the older teens. If its a preteen, go for M magazine, J-14(loved it when I was 11-13), Tigerbeat, there are so much more. Go to your local Safeway or supermarket and check it out. There are alot. I personally like Seventeen, it has real life stories, embarrasing stories, horoscopes, fashion and it's not all " Who is your celebrity dream date?" kinds of stuff.
It also has stuff for teens that are getting older. J-14 cost 30.00 for a 10 magazine sub, while Seventeen cost about 10.00. It has more pages and it isn't all posters and stuff.

I know this isn't the answer that you are hoping for, but
honestly, the best reading material for teens would be classic literature and histories. These would lay a good foundation for your college studies and the future.

Depends on the age. Seventeen is always good! Very good information in there as well as cute trends. That's my favorite. I also like CosmoGIRL. Very good! Teen Vogue is good. Mostly fashion though! Duh! The Tiger Beat and M are usually only about High School Musical stars (which I am not a fan of) and suprizingly kids my age still watch Disney Channel! Good luck!
