I have a deck that has a subtle slope towards the home. The earth beneath it is also sloping towards the home, and we had about a pop can's worth of water enter into the basement last year because of this. I'm wondering if it's realistic to try and raise up the deck and grade the earth beneath it away from the house.

It is a good idea to slope the deck away from the house. A slope of 1/8" to 1/4" per linear foot is good. The deck probably did slope away from the house originally. Check to see if the end of the deck against the house sank, or if the end away from the house rose. Check to see if the deck was, and still is, attached to the house. If it was attached, but it sank at the house, and the connection to the house is coming apart, raise the deck against the house and secure the connection. While you are at it, check the condition of the lumber for rot. Replace any rotted wood with pressure preservative treated wood.

If the outside edge away from the house has raised, just lower it.

Slope the grade below the deck away from the house at no less than 1/2" of slope per linear foot for at least the first six feet.

You have a good idea, but it will probably involve dismantling the deck--but it will only get worse, so make that a summer project.
