Our gold/black fish have laid eggs on the filtering system. In 2 days the eggs are turning white. The fish guard the eggs.

if all of them are white they are all dead, but if there are some that arent, they are still alive. dont worry about the first few attempts, if this is the first time uve seen it in a while or at all, that means they are practicing for it, once my angels were in the groove, they layed once every 2 weeks, and havent stopped since. some eggs turn white on my batches every time, i figure its the ones the male missed, due to the sparatic pattern on the edges of the patch. the water should be around 78-82, the eggs hatch faster in warmer water. U need brine shrimp eggs and have them hatched on teh day the angels can swim freely. U could remove the filter system and take care of them urself, but thats a 24 hour a day job, and a small fry tank is very very sensitive to changes, due to the low volume of water. dont be alarmed if the fry arent in the same spot, they tend to move them around the tank.

Are you specific you have a male lady pair? in case you have 2 women persons they'll nevertheless lay eggs, yet needless to say there is no person there to fertilise them. in the event that they seem to be a pair, first tries at breeding are seldom a hundred% effectual and water cleanness/PH is extra of a ingredient than temperature. in case you won't be able to verify a black dot interior the eggs by making use of now, they are unlikely to hatch.

Most likely the eggs are dead however if the parents are still 'fanning' them they may hatch a few.
