I'm taking a big risk right now in life (don't worry, I'm not doing anything illegal)..I'm going after a career which I'm not sure that I might be qualified.for. Do you think taking risk will worth it?

What can I do to remind myself that it's okay to be courageous? What if I freak out in the middle of the journey?

Have some faith. I was laid off once and I needed to find a job.

All that was in the paper was manual labor and a plant engineers job at a local factory.

I decided to take a shot at it even though I had none of the qualifications they were asking for. I called the plant and ask to talk to who ever was in charge of hiring the person for the job. The secretary said that he was only taking resumes right now.

I dreamed up a question that I was pretty sure she couldn't answer and she ended up putting my call through to him. He started asking about my degrees and where I went to school. I said do you want someone who can do the job, or just someone with the right degree. He asked if there was any possibility that I could come in to see him. I told him that I could come right away.

When I got there we talked for a while and He ask me to wait a minute and left the room. He sent the secretary to get me and she took me to the company presidents office where the guy I was originally talking to was. They both started asking me questions. I answered as best I could and they ended up offering me the job.

The learning curve was steep but I managed to pull it off and stayed there for a couple of years till my old job opened up again.

If I can do it, you can to. Just have faith in yourself and work hard.

Love and blessings Don

1) Almost no one is qualified for the job they get, part of it is learning on the fly due to job specifics, company procedure, etc. Just don't slack off, try to do your best, and pay attention. Spend extra time outside of work if needed to research stuff you are fuzzy on, at least until you get the swing of it.

2) What happens if everything goes bad and you want to freak out? Remember, it's only a job and there are tons and tons of ones just like yours out there. No matter how bad anything gets, you will still be alive when its done, so take solace in that. And if you're not alive, then there's nothing to worry about! Also, try to remember that any freaking out that you do will only distract you from completing your goals. It will sap energy mentally and physically from you, and you will be no further to finding a solution. The best coarse of action is decided while in a calm state of mind. Good luck!

There is no middle to the journey so dont worry about it. Risk without reservation! Dont have an expectation or condition for a specific result. Jump into the sea if you get eaten by sharks at least you got to feel the water.

Great risk is often followed by greatness.

Since you know it is possible that you may fail, you will be very vigilant with your tasks. Keep your focus, always learn and study outside the job so you will improve each day.

It is like walking on a log across a river vs. walking down the sidewalk. Focus breeds vibrant memories and accomplishments you can be proud of, instead of just blindly following the obvious, proven path.

Take a chance and work hard. Good Luck!

Risk is relative. Anything that doesn't kill us, makes us stronger. However, going after a career you know you're not qualified for is foolish. Get qualified then go for it. If the people doing the hiring have any brains they will think that you think they are fools to hire someone who isn't qualified. Never assume your boss can't figure out what abilities you have or don't have. All that said, nothing ventured, nothing gained. Good luck.

Don't worry about it, if you aren't qualified for it then that's OK. There are plenty of jobs in this world. Just take a risk or two in your life because you may not ever have the chance to again!

in no way tension with out coverage. it is not correct how far you pass or how "hardly" you do it. An twist of fate can happen at any time and in anyplace. in spite of in case you have been the desirable motive force interior the worldwide you ought to nonetheless be hit by ability of a inebriated or a new child ought to run into the line. Any twist of fate will propose which you would be saddled with a (legally) endless criminal accountability, a heavy wonderful, a criminal record, confiscation of the vehicle, criminal action to get well expenses from the Motor Insurer's bureau; and once you ultimately did settle directly to purchase coverage it could fee you a fortune. Uninsured drivers are parasites who fee another regulation-abiding motive force approximately £60 in line with year. this could be a levy on their coverage expenses to pay for the fees incurred by ability of uninsured motorists. it is not a valid decision "do I take the possibility?" What approximately the different adverse sods who must be your victims? don't be egocentric. there are techniques of reducing the coverage expenses, alongside with utilising a small vehicle, accepting a larger "extra"; and consider paying in month-to-month installments.

"Life is what happens when your making plans" take it one day at a time and remember that 1) life is a tough teacher, first she gives you the test, then she gives you the lesson and 2) Experience is not what happens to you but what you learn from what happened to you. Go for it, whatever happens will be for the best in becoming the real you. We all are works of art in constant progress....

You can do anything if you set your mind to it. And without risk there would be no reward right?

Just remind yourself of what you want and keep pushing through.

best of luck.
