My 65 Fender Twin Reverb problem?

The amp sounds and plays great. However when you are hooked into the reverb channel and you turn the reverb knob on 1,2, or higher, you can hear this echoing popping noise. It sounds like a something is back there lightly pecking on the reverb spring itself. Any suggestions of what to do?

It could be random noise coming from one of the tubes, a microphonic or leaky capacitor, a loose connection. An electronic tech should be able to isolate it in a few minutes.
