I learned the hard way.Marriage takes alot of work but it can be very rewarding. It takes two people working together to maintain a strong bond. When one person drops the ball the other has to pick it up and keep going. It takes more than love to hold it together. Both partners have to have similar goals to succeed. The most shocking thing I learned about marriage was no matter how much you love someone and care for them. This is never enough. All this can still change in a blink of an eye. As good as a marriage can be while it last it can get many times worse ending it.

That not all men know how to put their clothes in the washer lol! I was spoiled by my dad. Our whole family put their clothes where they belong all of the time, but I really have to keep reminding them that the floor is NOT the washer. I also learned that marriage is not perfect. My parents had such a wonderful marriage and everything they did, they did it together. They worked side by side together in a factory for nearly 30 yrs. before dad died of colon cancer. They even rode to work together everyday! I was raised thinking that all marriages should be like my parents. They never fought, or really even disagreed very much. I have learned that marriage takes work, lots and lots of work. I am realizing more everyday how much mom and dad worked hard to be the way that they were. This makes it much easier to get along with my husband. (and picking up his dirty clothes!)LOL

How much I missed home and my family. I went from home to living with my husband. Not advisable. The first two weeks of married life seemed like hell. i cried alot and though I should get divorced. It was soo bad that my husband found me crying onthe porch one night and had convinced himself I had run away! I got over myself and my homesickness though and I've been married for almost 3 years. It's been awesome for the most part. Only short fights and only once have I actually stopped talking to him for 3 days. And that was actually a stupid miss understanding in the end.

Husbands are like children only u can't control them. You have to feed them, clean up after them, shop for them, listen to them whine, snore and bytch when they lose stuff and blame it on you. Heck mine even watches cartoons all the time! Oh well, at least he bathes himself. (But am sure he would not complain if I did that for him too!)
And through it all u love them anyway =)

That it wasn't as difficult as some people think it is.
It depends on your personality and what you bring to the relationship.
