I've done alot of things in life that I regret, including premarital sex. I lost mine to a close friend during my freshman year of college. I obviously can't answer for why other people lose theirs before marriage, but me & him had been sexually attracted to each other for 3 years before we finally gave in and lost our virginity to each other one night. It ended up costing us our friendship and made it alot harder for me to say no to other guys after him.

I've since become a Christian and a born-again virgin. I became engaged a few months ago, and I know it'll be worth the wait when we get married 2 years from now :)

Its not that nobody believes its just that it is not commonly heard of anymore. Not everybody loses their virginity before marriage, it is unfair to call the majority of civilisation an immoral bunch of animals for not sharing your personal/religious beliefs. There is nothing wrong with everybody it is a personal choice, and it stands to reason that sometimes a person does not have a choice when they lose their virginity as it is taken by force or in conjunction with cultural custom or tribal ceremony.
It is unfair for you to herd society into one category. I don't necessary believe in waiting for marriage, but personally think that age should be a factor and that people should wait until they are of an age where they can take full responsibility for their actions and the consequences of those actions. In today's society where marriage is not held in the same esteem as 20 years ago, it is unfair to expect people to wait when they no longer believe in the prospect of marriage, however they feel that they have met their life partners.

First of all, you're way off. Lots of people save themselves for marriage. Second, you have no right to judge anyone here, and there are plenty of worse things that people can do if you want to find a reason to call them "immoral animals". Third, what is wrong in your life, that you are so worried about what other people are doing in their own, private bedrooms? If you want to save yourself and marry a virgin, then that's excellent, but not everyone else does, and it should not concern you.

First off, I know our society really supports having sex before marriage. However, there are more virgins out their then you realize. I, for one, am still a virgin. I've even finished college, and nope....no sex.

The main reason that people have sex before marriage, is that they don't see the harm in it. God has a huge problem with it, but they don't see it that way. So many people think that God want whatever makes them 'happy'. But He doesn't. He wants for us what is right and righteous. Until people are willing to make that distinction, they will continue to do what feels right, and what is fun. They will continue to say 'what is the harm', 'it's my choice', and other stuff that is equally ignorant of God's opinion on the subject.

I think plenty of people believe in saving themselves for one person However the odds arent exactly in our favour are they. Of all the people in this world we are lucky to meet that one special at all. So here we sit with our grand ideas and our hearts on our sleeves. Is it really so suprising that people become disallusioned with all that pressure to find mr/mrs right. Is it any less special because it doesnt last forever? And isnt forever defined as from the begining until the end. So perhaps each time we fall in love it is forever. It lasts from the birth of that love until the end. Who says that the love should live as long as we do. Love is a strong force and a life of its own and each time we fall into we fall forever. The eternitiy of that particular love.

How are you supposed to know that the person your with isn't that Special Partner. Most people go into a relationship hoping it will work out remember, no one would go into a relationship if the new it wasn't the one because it just be another time they get hurt.
I respect your opinion though.

Sadly alot of it comes from what goes on in the world today. This day in age sex is no big deal. It is on tv, in movies, and even in school. Kids see it everywhere they look. The hotter the girl the better the product sells. I personally am saving myself for the right guy but with friends and other people my age already having sex, its hard. What helps me alot is knowing God knows what I believe. Hopfully He will find a guy for me.......

Because I was an idiot. If I could go back I would have waited for my wedding night, knowing what I do now. It would have been worth it.
Also, I have great friends who married and were both virgins at age 24. I was so proud of them!
It still does happen!

Because I did that (wait until I got married), and trust me it wasn't worth it. Best to take the car out for a test drive to make sure everything fits if you get my drift. ;-)

I'm divorced now and I see nothing wrong with pleasure as long as no one gets hurt. I do have morals, but I don't follow your religion. You do not have the right to impose your sense of morality on others.
