I was at work and it came on the radio. I remember at first we thought a military jet had somehow hit one of the towers. Then it came on that another plane had hit another one of the towers. Mass confusion and all aircraft across the U.S. were grounded. It was a very creepy day to say the least. I work near a military base and I remember they blocked all the entrances and exits with armed guards. Even had armed military personnel standing guard along the highway along the base.
Older generations always ask "what were you doing when JFK was shot".
This question is the question that will always be asked by our generation.

It's a sad day I will never forget. Nor should anyone of us ever forget that day. Always remember the ones that lost there lives and their loved ones that they left behind.

These were just innocent people that went to work like any other day. None of them had any idea it was going to be the last day of their lives.

The next day all employees went out to lower the flag to half mass. Two female employees spontaneously started singing "God Bless America". It was a very sad day.

September 11, 2001 is a day I will never forget.

i do no longer think of it become completed by using a demolition. I do think of the towers went down in the resault of two planes flying into them. additionally, I nonetheless have the persons magazine with the the stuff that got here approximately on 9/11. certainly the warmth from the planes crashing and blowing up, made the towers risky and that's how they collasped. The towers exceedingly plenty melted. As for Tower 7, that become completed via a demolition. That I head become a secret construction, that there have been a conspiracy theory. this is only my opinion.

Working in a relay center. It was really bizzare; standing around watching it played over and over on tv. It was like it was never enough because it was just so d* unbelievable that it happened, never got old. Then I'd get sick of watching it, but couldn't get away from it then started watching it all over again. I thought about my brother, who is a pilot, and wondered if he was in the cockpit. Of course it turned out that he wasn't, but that was a very weird day, and a very long month. We didn't have cable at the time and that was all that was on tv for like a month and half; once regular programming resumed it took some time getting used to it.

It would have nice to be actually doing something other than working though. Regardless of what we thought would be the case at the time, that is the type of stuff that only happens once in a lifetime. The only other thing that even came close to that for me was seeing the Challenger blow up; which was sad, but it seemed like that was over as soon as they realized what happened, and that was only like 6 people. Well of course Oklahoma City, can't forget about that. But WTC; hearing people commit suicide and the horror of not being able to get to people and all of the firefighters that died and everything it was entirely too much to deal with ...

I was 9 years old when the twin towers fell down and I didn't really think it was that serious at the time. My dad, brother, and I were going to go fishing that day when mom turned on the television and when we saw the towers fall, dad decided to stay home. so no fishing trip, i remember thinking "a tower fell down and we have to STAY HOME!!!" That was long before I realized what had happened.. it didn't know what truly took place until the next year during the first anniversery of that day.

I was getting ready to leave for my first class, and turned on The Today Show. The first tower had just been hit but I thought it was a "normal" fire. I couldn't wrap my mind around the idea that it was a plane, even though that was what was being said and shown. I just stood in front of the television. It was, and still is, so tragic.

I'll never forget it.

I was semi dozing on the couch after working a night shift. The hub bub on GMA woke me up in time to see the second plane go into the second tower, in real time! I will never forget seeing people jumping out of the buildings! What an awful day!

I was in my office and a lady who works for me and I were talking about making airline reservations on line . I was going to show her how to do it. The TV was on and we both looked up when we heard the voices change pitch. We saw the second plane hit live. I sent everyone home with pay so they could be with their family's we were not sure what was happening. I will never forget ! It was as sad watching the shuttle blow up live in person. I gathered my family around me as fast as I could. There was much uncertainty that day and in the days that followed.

I was about to go to bed. It was around midnight at my house. I'd just finished watching a video and while I was waiting for it to rewind, I flicked to the tv and saw what had happened. I thought I must have been watching a movie, until I realised it was actally happening. Then I flicked through more channels. It was on every station. And the pentagon. I didn't get to sleep for another few hours... I was glued to the set. I couldn't believe it had happened.

I was in an Intellectual Property Law class. I watched it on the screens in the streets while walking to work after school. Oddly enough, I wasn't doing anything special but I'll remember it for the rest of my life.
