I suppose you could use a meter. The one in my old Whirlpool was simple enough to remove from the fridge and easy to open up to where the electrical contacts were.

Mine were all burnt and pitted. The beryllium copper springs and contacts lifted right out of half of the shell. I sanded the contact faces shiny with a fine emory board. Then a bent them very carefully so they were closer together (so they would hit tightly when activated) but not so close as to touch when they were not supposed to.

This fix lasted 12 years until the timer motor on this defrost timer quit. At that point I replaced it as the motor cost as much as the whole timer unit.

umm i dont get what you are saying. but if you are saying that where to get whirl pool? then in crystal version i guess on the way to johto
