There is really nothing that you doctor can give to bring milk back. But if you still have milk you can increase it by 1. Rent a hospital grade pump and pump as often as you can, milk works on a supply demand curve. Pump at least 20min 2-3 hours apart. 2. Drink Fenugreek seed supplements. These are available at Whole Foods or online 3. Drink mother love more milk plus supplements available online and sometimes at Whole Foods. 4. Drink mothers milk tea also available at Whole Foods. 5. Drink half or one bottle of dark beer that has malt in it, you can also by non-alcoholic beer, or drink malt shakes.
It is never too late as long as there is still some left.

yes. talk to your dr. about relactation. It is totally possible. the milk-making parts are all there; they just need stimulation. There is one medication that is not available in the USA but you can get it on the internet. It is called domperidone. Ask your doctor first. She might say try fenugreek and pumping a lot. It will be some work but people do it. Even women who have never had a pregnancy can produce milk so hang in there.

Yep, it's called Reglan, but be careful - it can also cause depression.

You can't always tell how much milk you have by how much you pump. I have never been able to pump more than a few drops, but I nursed my daughter exclusively until 4 months, and am still nursing her at 19 months (and I'm 9 months pregnant!).

There are herbal things - fenugreek, milk thistle, brewer's yeast, etc. See www.kellymom.com for help.

Don't know about the doctor but I do know that you can bring your milk back...just let the baby suckle the breast like a pacifier. If no milk comes then be happy with the closeness that you have with your baby and your baby will love it as well. Note.... it's been 20 years for me since I nursed and I still produce milk in drops.

I wanted to let you know that people keep saying Reglan has the side effect of depression. Maybe it does in some people, but I was on it for 2 years to help some pancreas problems, and I never got majorly depressed. I felt the same. Some days, yeah I was down, but some days, I'm down anyway! It's not a bad drug. I'm actually considering asking my doc to put me back on it to help my milk supply!

Everything mollymon said is right. One thing your doctor can also prescribe is Reglan, which is most commonly used for acid reflux. One major side effect, however, is severe depression so that is not a solution if you have had problems with depression in the past.

Domperidone is approved in some states, Kansas is one. Check with your doctor.

The first poster said to drink beer...non-alcoholic beer is best. Just one a day!

Best of luck!

Let the baby suck and suck, your milk will come back. You may have to let your baby suck a long time, as if she's sucking a soother.

You also must be relaxed. Take a day off, sit in your rocking chair and just let your baby suck on your breast for as long as it takes.

An old-fashioned country doctor gave me this advice and it worked for me 6 months after I weaned my last child.

If you still have a little left....try a beer. Something in beer makes your milk come in fast
