Depends on what the image is, how visible it is and where you are working.

For example: After going to college, working to get honors, then going out to interview in the professional workplace with:

Nose rings, eyelid rings, tongue studs, tatoos all over your neck, arms, face and legs, you can expect a job as a janitor - not as a professional.

If you are applying as a bar tender in a biker bar, you will get hired.


I almost feel sorry for the young kids today because they are too busy being "individuals" by following the trends to get this done that they have no comprehension of how it limits them in the professional arena.
