getting caught up in wanting something you can't have, or just isn't working, is doing nothing to better yourself or your life. it is only causing pain and suffering and holding you back from your full potential. Moving on doesn't mean forgetting, in fact you should never forget, then you never learn. You take the good, you learn from the mistakes and you do it better with your next chance. Life is now, it isn't in the past and it isn't in the future. If you're too busy missing what you lost to see your life partner when she hands you an invitation to a new beginning you'll miss it. So stop missing, stop wishing, stop dreaming, and start living. The only person who leaves himself lonely is the person who sits alone.

It is NOT always best to move on and forget about the other partner, but one of the big deals about courtship is to see how the two of you can work through problems. Do pull together or apart? Personally, I think most of us give up too quickly on each other. You must know, however that YOU are the only one you can change!!!! We just passed out 39th anniversary, and as I look back now, I don't think we changed each other very much!! So, can you work around your problem, is this too deep seated to remodel ? Only you in your heart of hearts can say. Good Luck, and BE WELL!!!

So you found a girl that you think is your one true love and it didn't work out. Does somebody honestly have to list all of the amazing things life has to offer besides obsessing over a woman you clearly weren't meant to be with? One day you really will find your TRUE love. And you'll wonder why you wasted so much time being a weenie. Then again if you keep this up, nobody will give you the chance! Buck up man! Women don't like crybabies!

Well if you don't move on, then you cannot find your true life partner. As hard as it may seem, if you broke up chances are, you should move on and the right person is still out there. Your right, life is about finding your life partner, not about dwelling over a broken relationship. Good luck!!

I don't believe it's ALWAYS the best thing. It all depends on the situation. I think sometimes people give up and don't try to fight for their relationships. However, if one of them isn't willing, the only thing you can really do is move on. Take the time you need to yourself first and then get back into the dating scene when you are ready.

There are many fishes in the ocean. Time will heal the pain, no point brooding over one person, there are many people who can pick themselves up. So go ahead "move on with your life"

Well, if some people just 'move on' then it gives them time to collect your thoughts. The phrase "time heals all wounds" isn't nessecarily true. Time, however, does let you gather your thoughts and make your decisions. So if you move on, you are actually helping yourself more than you think.

not really. i grew up to believe that we exist only to find the "one", marry, have kids, then they continue the generation. besides if you break up why waste your whole life thinking about the one girl you lost when theres a girl out there looking for you

You don't have to move on by dating another person. Just don't dwell on the same person for a long period of time.
