I got an Azalea for Valentines Day. It was in bloom.
I rent, so I plan to keep it in a pot on the deck.
I repotted it after it bloomed. Will it bloom again? Any tips for keeping it alive in a pot?
I live in CT.

yes, the plant with grow larger with the larger pot. Keep it watered, they love water but don't let it sit in water. It'll bloom every year.

If it was blooming when you got it , it would have been best to transition it to the outside after the winter was finished in Connecticut. If it is still alive it would bloom again, maybe this year, but probably next year. When things have been made to bloom for Valentine's they are usually greenhouse grown. It stresses these things to bloom in the nice warm house and then be put out in the winter weather.
Good Luck. It can do fine in a pot especially if it is bigger than the one you got it in. The pots that are larger provide more insulation for the roots than a tiny tight pot.

it should bloom again(next bloom season) with proper care. azaleas are acid loving plants so it would be a good idea to get something like miracle grow for azaleas and various acid loving plants. use that every two weeks for optimum growth. my grandma has a winter blooming potted camelia and thats how i take care of it for her, and yeah don't forget to turn it for even growth. dont over water, wait until the top three inches of the rootball seem dry to the touch, keep away from ventilation ducts. terra-cotta pots work well, by touching the side of the pot it is easy to judge whether the plant needs watering

It kind of depends on where you live. Is the variety of azalea you have hardy in your area? I am in Minnesota and florists' azaleas would never live through our winters.

Also often Azaleas are forced to bloom at a time when they would't normally do so (like Valentine's Day). In that case, it will be even more difficult to get them to bloom again.
