I have a small waist and sort of wide hips, the thing is when I buy trousers that fit from the hips, they are loose from the waist. It looks awful. Can you help?

I have a friend with the same problem... don't know what she does to fix it though. This is all that I could find which isn't great but have you tried the low rise jeans so that you can avoid the whole waist problem?

"Stacy says women with wide hips should stick with a mid-rise jean that is slightly on the lower side in order to fit around the widest part without creating love handles. Also, look for a straight leg or a trouser leg, which falls down from the hips to create a longer-looking leg line. Ladies with hips typically have thicker limbs, and straight-leg jeans help give the leg a uniform width. Boot-cut jeans only serve to highlight the thickness of the thigh in relation to the knee."

You are right on buying a trouser or skirt that fits you on the hips, have the waist fitted to you by a seamtress.

If you eat a ton, you will gain weight. Then your waist will match your hips. ;-) Oh... maybe you don't like that idea. Sorry.
