When I drive my 6cylinder 1996 Honda Accord it feels like there is resistance when I accelerate? It feels like it is not in the right gear, however it is...

It is similar to the feeling when you drive with the emergency brake slightly engaged. That resisitance feeling, if that makes sense to you... And no, the emergency brake is not engaged.

There is also a low moaning noise that gets louder with acceleration and quieter when I slow down.. I have new tires on the car. Any idea what is going on? thank you for your help.....

Sounds like a plugged convertor to me.

The noise of a low moaning is your new tires, check for proper inflation. Go by the maximum pressure on the tire and fill to within 5 pounds of the max. Dont go by what the sticker on the door says... that is the manufacturer suggested pressure and the car manufacturer didnt make the tires so that is wrong. Plus all tires have different max pressures.

it could be your wheel bearings, or maybe your brake calipers are ceasing up on you.
