If i were to respond to this question it would take me days to express my hate for this sport. I would rather die a slow painful death than to watch soccer. It disgusts me and i despise the ones who play the game. David Beckam can suck balls.

soccer is the best in the world; it's 2 45 minute halves of constant skill. being from America i grew up with baseball and football so i am used to the stoppage and commercials but overall soccer is the best and soccer goals and way more exciting to see than a home run or touchdown any day. go learn how to play and you will know why it is the best or go to any other country in the world and they will teach you

Do you think soccer sucks? Yes, sometimes soccer feels so boring and so long (imagine 22 men on the field passing a ball among them for 2x45 minutes, and finally kicking it out of the field instead of scoring goals!). Yes, sometimes you have hundreds supporters beat each other.

But you know what? Sometimes a soccer match can be very interesting when you watch two teams, attacking each other with solid teamwork and pacey attacks created by very skillful players, and finally score goals!

Usually, we cannot see many goals/ scores in soccer match just like in other sports, just like basketball. It is because naturally, it is not easy to score a goal in a football match. Imagine, the field is so large, you are just one of 22 players, and you cannot score with your hands-it means you have to be in the right moment, right place, control the ball with the right technique, meanwhile keep your balance! Things are going worse for score-lovers like you, because recently modern soccer become more and more defensive (maybe managers are more and more afraid to lose and to be sacked?).
But in the other hand, isn't it the scarcity of goal that makes a goal is very very precious in a football match? Every goal is a combination of technique, determination, and luck. Every goal, whether it is 'beautiful' or 'stupid', is worth to watch again. And you see, every player is very happy after scoring every single goal. He will celebrate with his own style, even sometimes pose in front of cameras!

Moreover, if you are a football lover, in a soccer match you will not watch the goals only. You will watch HOW the teams create an attack or buld the defense, HOW players dribble the ball, do tricks (you'd better watch Cristiano Ronaldo's stepover!), deliver passes, and shoot on goals. You can also watch harsh tackles, divings, theatrical play, punches, headbutts (OK, these are not what we expect in a soccer match, but sometimes it makes soccer attract people's interest, right?). Even some people try to analyze formation and strategies of every team, as if they are the coach! Newspapers also often expose non-technical issues, such as player transfers, management changes, even political issues behind a match. You can hardly find this in other kind of sports.

When you watch NBA you can eat as much as potato chips as you want until you become potato couch, but when you love soccer, you cannot watch without screaming. Even for some people soccer become their second religion! Soccer is very lively, because it is a universal sport. Everybody can play, whether they are in rich countries in Europe, slum area in South America, or poor countries in Africa.

The only reason it "Sucks" I guess is because here in America we don't have nearly the quality of players as in Europe or any country that plays FUTBOL! Why do you think its the most popular sport in the world! That's why our players try to go to the Premiere League and play.....

Ah. Wonderful perspicacity. It's a mystery, really. Most sports, generally, suck. Specially what you see on TV. I can't understand the near religious fantacism that atttends one of these kinds of things.

Soccer is so bad because is is to long and to slow moving. Also if one player taps another player the player falls to the ground throws a temper tantrum and sometimes holds the left leg when he was kicked in the right. Also it is almost certain the first team to score wins. Want to make soccer interesting add more hitting smaller Fields and maybe let some of the male players man it up because they play like wimps.

it doesnt i would say soccer is ten times better than american football...in american football you switch out from offense to defense and the players get to rest more.
