Am visiting new york (from ireland) for paddys weekend and would love to book for the pogues. My favourite irish band but have never got the chance to see them in ireland. Does anyone know what the roseland ballroom is like. I know the location. Is it all standing, is there a bar. Would you recommend it?

Last I went (which was awhile ago) it was an okay venue, standing only, so for a short person not so great. There's a bar, at least I remember there being one.
The Pogues are English by the way. Not that it matters, one of my fave bands. They always put on a great show, have seen them several times and I'd go to see them again over many other bands. You should go - Who knows if this'll be their last tour? Have fun in NY, good luck with the tickets and all.

I just checked the Pogues site - they canceled one of the Roseland shows due to Shane injuring himself in Boston. Hope you didn't have tkts for tonite.
