OMG yes and it was so embarrassing. They looked uncomfortable when I was waving, it was horrific.

man i always feel so stupid so i pretend i was talking to someone behind the person that was actually waving at the person behind me.
lol.that sounds confusing.

Yeah, the key is to wave exuberantly, smile big, and show some leg so that they wish that they were waving at you.

ya, i hate when that happens, i just learned not to wave, even if i know that person. only when he/she calls my name will i do anything.

yes. what's worse though was when someone asked the person behind me's name, and I thought they were talking to me so I said my name. they were like "um, well actually I meant so-and-so, but it's nice to meet you." ...oops. smart, huh?
