I currently hold a managers position. I was asked by my supervisor to move to another property for one year and train as a regional supervisor. There were some big business changes and a year later the position was offered to two other employees (I find out by company wide email). My supervisor denies having any conversation with me regarding the position. I only had their word nothing in writing... and I am still unhappy in the same position.

remember the truth always comes out in the wash. just subtly in front of people once in a while mention it see if he slips up.but truly he probably doesn't remember, set down and talk it out with him ,there is usually some reason why that if he does remember hes not saying and its usually to save himself.from now on have them put things in writing and move on sometimes life isn't far ,but you have a job and benefits and that's all that matters,if you don't like anything about the job and the boss then strike out on your own start working for your self the tax laws are written for self employment.or go for a different job either way good luck to you

I am not following you. Your supervisor wanted you to take a position to train to be a regional manager, and they are only now following up on that position a year later? Why didn't you inquire about this regional supervisor position sooner? Maybe if you went a year without saying anything your supervisor thought you weren't interested.

Lose that job and find yourself a new company, it sounds like they don't have their priorities straight!

You obviously don't get it, do you? That is why you didn't get the position. Sorry to be blunt. Business is like that. Now you should get the message - get out and get another job.
