Let's see. Helping cook dinner and doing the dishes, dusting, vacuuming, folding and putting away clothes.

My mom sarcastically called me Cinderella when I complained.

Ummmmm Thats a very big contrabution!!!! lol. Im not sure if the house hold could have gone on with out u!!!!! But mine was and still is ummmm taking care of my 9 month old puppy. Its funny though before someone comes over my mom goes into a cleaning frenzy and its funny to pet Charlie (my dog) alot and have him shed all over the house!!! But to do it right before they come over. THen Charlie helps by slobbering all over things! hes a choc. lab/rotti mix!

Well, my biggest contribution was setting fire to the house in which our family used to live. That led to the house burnt down completely and we had to move another place. As the house was rather old detached house, with this incident, my parents decided to build a new house. When the brand-new house was completed, everyone was pleased and thanked me for my contribution.

As a TEEN folks added DOING the laundry and assisting in food-prep.

Mowing lawns and assisting in auto or house-repair was worth 50 cents an hour... up to $2.50 in 1982

Chopping firewood for our coal fire, Blackleading the fireplace, Turning the mangle for my mother, filling the coal scuttle,Polishing the lino, Cleaning the brass door step. Every saturday morning go down the coal yard and bring coal home in wheelbarrow.

reading all the answers i realise how lucky i was!
my only contribution was lifting my feet as my mum went past with the hoover

incidentally i now do 90% of the housework in my own house so i'm paying for it now!

After my parents divorce I took care of the other two younger kids and the housework and made sure we all did our homework and wht ever else they told me to do oh yeah pack us all up to go to my dads for the weekend and do all his fing house work too!!!!!!!!

I would take hours to dust and vacuum 2 bedroomms that would now take me about a half hour or less and then complained and whined the whole time I was cleaning them.

Wash the dishes (my sister and I took turns), and help bring in the groceries after shopping. Also keep my room clean.
