You should really come up with the ideas yourself, so that it's something you are passionate about. If you try to spend that much time working on a story that isn't yours, you will burn out and not finish.

Fantasy in particular can be time consuming to create if you are going to use an imaginary world. I would recommend reading "How to Write Science Fiction & Fantasy" by Orson Scott Card, as well as checking out the articles on Holly Lisle's website:

She has some fantastic articles on worldbuilding and character development. Why not start by creating your world and a couple characters that are cool-- oftentimes, the story will come naturally from them!

Happy writing!

Sky's the limit for fantasy, so you shouldn't need ideas. And, if you want writing to be your career, you certainly should be able to write at least ten story outlines right now, as you don't just write one book, you'll write dozens.

Good for you! For some inspiration, check out http://www.elfwood.com It's got some awesome fantasy pictures that might get your creative juices going. If you're interested in any fantasy subject in particular, you can even take tours of Elfwood here: http://elfwood.lysator.liu.se/tours2/

Cheers and good luck! And when you get your story going, be sure to post it on Elfwood for some peer critiques.
