it is just one door, but it is the door to the closet that is filled with the boxes that hold all the memories of all the people dear to me that have died. It is a lot of work to keep the lids on those boxes and the door closed, and sometimes there will be an upheaval and all those boxes tumble down and I have to start again putting them carefully away.

Much of my past has left this universe
for another. I leave the light on and
the door open for a select few that remain.
