Courage is the bravery in being honorable, whether it is the "courage" to speak your mind for what you believe, for justice, or the "courage" to fight even when faced with certain death. Courage is persistance - never giving up even when it seems like Murphy's Law has taken effect and everything that could go wrong has. Courage is being a real man (or woman) and loving yourself even when the world would wish you dead. Courage is what we use to persue our dreams, even when they seem unreachable. Courage is the ability to go face our inner self - recognise our flaws, or imperfections - and see those before we cast the stone upon others.

Courage is the ability to face the odds

Self reflecting risk taking. In the mind the Will is positive and the Judgment is negative. Courage is best when the Will is dominant.

Courage...though it is a term that is truly undefinable in the sense that it means something different to each of us... is having the self-esteem to know that you CAN do something worthwhile and honorable, and chosing to do it though others have dubbed it near impossible to accomplish.

Courage is to believe what you cannot see.
To love unconditionally. To stand up for what you believe in.
To defend the defenseless. To stand up for GOD now that's real courage!!

If it comes from the French heart - coeur, then it literally means to have heart, which seems appropriate.

The person who has heart doesn't get disheartened and stop the fight or leave the area; he persists in what he is doing despite it being difficult and dangerous.
