Running backs do everything.
They run, catch, block, tackle, throw.
Just look at LT, he throws better than some quarterbacks.

Reggie Bush was the leading receiver on his New Orleans Saints team in 2006....from the running back position. His screen pass reception in the NFC title game went 88 yards and gave Chicago their biggest scare in the playoffs before the Super Bowl.
Tiki Barber, the retired NY Giant, made a living at catching short passes throughout his career - it might get him into the Hall Of Fame. And current day Eagle, Brian Westbrook, is one of the best receivers in football from his starting RB spot.
You bet RBs catch. Some of them do it very very well.

Runningbacks are an offensive package.
They run the ball a lot, DUH. But they do indeed go out and catch passes. They ALSO block quite a bit to protect the QB in the pocket.
RB is a very very very busy position Quite fun as well.. but i'm a fullback, do the same things, just A LOT more blocking.

They run, catch, block, occasionally throw, and sometimes even have to tackle after a qb has thrown an interception.
